Tastes

Having people over is one of my favorite things to do. When I was a kid my friends and I used to have dinner parties all the time. We’d get the posse together and all pitch in during the cooking process. We’d have drinks, smoke, and eat. I remember getting pretty territorial about what I was doing in the kitchen, and tended to add more spice than others enjoyed. I realize now that it’s probably better to put the spices on the table, lol.  Although, I will say that when I’m cooking I prefer to be the only person in the kitchen unless it’s not my job to be in there at all. Two years ago, my ex and I had something like 30 guests over for my birthday, I pretty much cooked the entire day and *completely* enjoyed it.

I’m going to be getting back into entertaining. And I’d like my guests to feel good, whether they’re coming over for a cup of something warm or a glass of something cool. Most people I know use CBD in some form, but I’ve decided to pull ideas for snacks and drinks that could go either way. CBD reduces social anxiety, protects the brain and can help with sleep in larger doses. In smaller doses, it just creates a sense of calm. A lot of these recipes you can make with CBD or without, depending on what kind of experience you’d like to have.

Edibles

This CBD Golden Milk is good for fertility, will help with insomnia, purify your blood, possibly prevent cancer, among other benefits. It contains tumeric, cbd oil, ginger, coconut milk, and cinnamon, all ingredients known to reduce inflammation and which offer myriad benefits, including increasing serotonin levels in the brain.

These Chocolate Coconut Fat Bombs come via Bulletproof, and are much less intense than they sound. The benefits of cocoa include improved brain function, significant nutrition, antioxidants, and more. Coconut fat boosts metabolism, reduces the chances of heart issues, and is also great for lowering cholesterol. These little treats contain both super ingredients and happen to be keto-friendly for those with dietary restrictions.

Paleo Friendly CBD Keto Bars are a pumped up version of a healthy chocolate chip cookie. They’re made with coconut oil along with dark chocolate, pasture raised-eggs and almond butter, and end up being thick, with melty chocolate chips. You can make them either with or without CBD, they’ll soothe your soul either way.

If you’re looking for something refreshing to offer guests, you might try this Mint Tea. Mint tea has been known to help with issues like IBS, sleep issues, as well boosting your immune system. Plus it tastes good and refreshes breath. This recipe is exceedingly simple and requires nothing more than filtered water and  You can add CBD through honey like Keeper’s Stash. Keeper’s Stash is California grown avocado honey that’s infused with hemp oil.

If you’d like to add something savory, consider serving some guac with a bit of cbd oil in it. This recipe has tomatoes, peppers, cayenne, cumin, garlic, sea salt, lemon, etc. It works well with either tortilla chips or veggies.
